Fever Touchdown Celebrations

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash - They jump into the crowd, flex for the cameras and row boats down the field, but how exactly do the Fever players come up with these zany touchdown dances?  "It's a spur of the moment thing," says end-zone regular J.R. Thomas.  "It's kind of whatever jumps into my head at the moment," adds Deontrae Johnson.

But for some wide receivers on the Tri-Cities team, those touchdown dances aren't as easy as they look!  Byron Rogers says, "Whenever I finally get there all the guys jump on you and it's hard to breathe anyways and with all those guys on top of you it's even harder.  I just draw a blank!"

The players say the dance they decide to do on the field really is a spur of the moment decision, but they do have a little planning behind them.  "Yeah on the bus ride we'll probably come up with a few new ones," J.R. says.

The Fever's next game is Saturday night at Stockton.  The Fever will be back home on June 16th to take on Spokane.  That game will be broadcast live right here on KNDO and KNDU as well as FSN Northwest!
