FINELY, Wash.- Another bomb threat evacuates a local school, and parents say the school isn't doing anything about it.
One parent KNDU talked to said it was the ninth time in the last year there's been a bomb threat at Finley Middle School.
The school was evacuated for hours Thursday as police K-9's searched the building, coming up with nothing.
At the same time, Central Washington University in Ellensburg was evacuated.
It's an increasing trend and the sheriff's office says the only way to stop it may be to finally catch the offender.
"If they know that they get caught, and that there's a real threat of consequences, we hope that that will put a stop to it," said Benton County Sheriff's Deputy Joe Lusignan.
Police think that some of these recent threats may be because the school year is almost up, but they say it's becoming a drain on police and on the educational process.
