NEW YORK (AP) - A law enforcement official says 1 of 3 people arrested in a plot targeting New York's Kennedy airport is a Guyanese man who used to work at the airport.
The official says he was arrested in New York City last night, while two other suspects were apprehended in Trinidad and another is being sought there.
Officials close to the investigation say the four plotted to set off explosives in a fuel line that feeds JFK and runs through residential neighborhoods.
They say the plot never got past the planning stages.
One official says the plotters had conducted surveillance on giant jet fuel tanks at the airport and the pipeline, and took video of the targets to Trinidad to review.
