Goldendale Health Care Workers Ready to Strike

GOLDENDALE, Wash. - Health care workers in Goldendale are ready to strike after months of what they call "unproductive bargaining."

97% of workers at Klickitat Valley Hospital, Goldenview Terrace, Home Health and Hospice, Family Practice Clinic and Goldendale EMS have voted to strike.  The strike is set to begin Monday, June 11th just before 7:00 am.

Registered nurse Dave Gilliam released a statement saying their number one concern is patient care.  He accuses Klickitat Valley Health Services of doing little to stop a strike.  Negotiations will continue for the next few days.
