KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Kennewick police were out at Red Lobster Friday night, working side-by-side with Red Lobster staff for "tips", or donations for the Special Olympics.
Scott Thompson was one of the officers out looking for tips. His father and nephew came out to support him and give him a hard time. Scott's father Mike said, "Oh, it's nice about time. He waited on his parents instead of his parents waiting on him."
Through the first two nights of Tip-a-Cop, Kennewick officers raised about $3,400 dollars. But, they still haven't added in tips from Friday or Saturday night. If you want to Tip-a-Cop, you can visit the Kennewick Red Lobster Saturday between five and eight.
