Fighting Children Take over Lifequest, for Tae Kwon Do Competition!
PASCO, Wash - Today the Lifequest gym in Pasco was taken over by children of all ages for a friendly Tae Kwon Do competition. And while the sparring was fun and intense at times, the competition was really a fundraiser for a local athlete.
21-year-old Riley Todd is the current lightweight champion in the ICF and is headed to Birmingham, England in August for a world competition. "It's really exciting," says Todd. "Hopefully we can raise some money and promote the sport even more in the Tri-Cities."
The even was organized by Todd's coach and was originally planned to only have about 50-75 kids competing. However, this afternoon over 100 competitors and their families took over the back of the gym for their "friendly" competition.
