PASCO, Wash. -- Pasco homeowners meet with the Pasco Code Enforcement Board to settle a dust problem.
People living near the DNR development at Argent and Road 44 in Pasco say in the last few months, their homes have been hit with dust storms that are coming from the new development.
They say the dust is lowering property values and causing health problems. Homeowner James Hales says, "It's been frustrating. There is dust inside, dust all over the yard, and in the bushes."
The developer, Scott's Excavating, says they're taking all the necessary measures to fix the problem. But, the Pasco Code Enforcement Board ended up fining the company $1,000 dollars for the dust, and says the fine will double for future violations.
