YAKIMA, Wash.- Just in time for Father's Day, a new statue is unveiled in downtown Yakima... and the makers of it... a father and son team!!! It's called the 'Horn of Plenty'. It's a hand-cast glass sculpture, located on the corner of 2nd street and Yakima Avenue.
The sculpture stands more than twelve feet tall, with three columns. The tallest one has a bronze sun and a multi-colored glass horn that lights up at night. The father and son team, Chad and Michael Gray, says they're thrilled to have their work a part of downtown Yakima.
Funding for the statue was made possible by a grant from Artist Trust, the Yakima Arts Giving Circle, and the City of Yakima. Total cost of the project, around 15-thousand dollars.
