YAKIMA, Wash -- The City of Yakima is asking drivers to slow down.
They say drivers are going way fast on 40th Avenue where road crews are re-sealing the road through a process call chip sealing.
High speeds are kicking up dust and gravel, and causing problems for neighboring homes and businesses.
"We've been experiencing a lot of dust and dirt," said Cassie Gordon of Tom Tom Espresso. "We are having to wash our windows more often. Dust our shelves more often. Do our dishes more often."
The city is going to start chip sealing Tieton Avenue this week.
