KENNEWICK, Wash. - With his family's blessing, the Fever's Superman decided on the game over the wedding. Defensive end/wide receiver Robert Garth, a.k.a. Superman, spent the week trying to decide whether to play in Saturday's game, or go to his sister's wedding in Seattle, which is also Saturday night.
He was able to take his family out to dinner earlier in the week and also was at the rehearsal. So he was able to slip away and will suit up Saturday night as the Fever host Central Valley in a key divisional game.
The multi-talented Garth has been focusing more on defense lately, while other receivers are stepping up.
"Yeah those young guys, Trae (Johnson) and Byron (Rogers) are stepping up and making plays," said Coach Tony Wells. "Of course we got JR (Thomas) and we could always put Garth in there or Leroy (McFadden) if we need him. I like the fact that the young guys are stepping up and making plays now."
