PASCO, Wa.,--A Pasco police officer escaped injury after an accident involving another vehicle. Washington State Patrol is investigating the accident.
It happened near the intersection of Road 68 and Chapel Hill in Pasco.
Judging by the damage to the officers patrol car, it appears the car was hit from behind. Another accident occured a little while later.
Police say it's a big concern when people passing by a collision shift their attention from the road ... especially during an investigation.
"Traffic tends to jam up and as people are well aware of, people start to look at the accident and pay more attention to the accident than the roadway," said Officer Jason Miller. And, we had a minor fender bender, so causing a secondary collision at the same location.
The driver in that second accident had an outstanding warrant and was later arrested by Pasco Police.
