Early Morning House Fire in Yakima Turns Fatal

YAKIMA, Wash. - A suspicious house fire in Yakima turned deadly early Monday morning.  Two occupants are confirmed fatalities at this time.  Their names have not been released.

The fire started just before 3:30 a.m. on the 400 block of South 4th Street.  Three people were rescued by Yakima Police before fire crews arrived.

Due to the amount of fire in the home, the roof collapsed and fire crews were unable to make an interior attack on the structure.

There is no word on how the fire started, but crews are calling it suspicious.  An investigation is under way and crews are working on identifing the bodies.

Fire officials say the house and four cars were completely destroyed.  Around ten people have been displaced, and they are being helped right now by the Red Cross.
