YAKIMA, Wash. - An unoccupied construction project went up in flames Thursday morning, in yet another fire that is being called suspicious.
Yakima Fire got the call at around 4:10 Thursday morning and rushed to 24th and Washington Avenue. Fire from the vacant construction project quickly spread to nearby brush.
Yakima Fire does have the fire under control, and nobody is believed to be injured from the fire. Witnesses say they could see the smoke and flames from over a mile away. Investigators will be on the scene Thursday afternoon to try and figure out how this fire got started.
