Deadly Yakima Fire Ruled Arson

YAKIMA, Wash - The Yakima Fire Department has determined a deadly house fire was intentionally set.  The fire happened Monday morning at 403 South Fourth Street.   Two people died of smoke inhalation and thermal burns.   A $10,000 reward is now being offered for information on the person who started it.  Yakima Fire and Police will continue to investigate.

"While we were taking care of the cause and origin aspect of it, YPD wasn't sitting still, we had leads and were following up on those," said Ron Melcher of the Yakima Fire Department.

Investigators won't give out any information on who they think may have done this, how or why, in order to protect the case.
