Bonderman misses out on Second chance at All-Star Game
Pasco native Jeremy Bonderman narrowly missed out on being the last player added to the A.L. All-Star Team. The Tigers pitcher was one of ten players on the internet ballot, which gave the fans a chance to add an extra player to both the National League and American League roster. Bonderman is having his best year in the majors with a 9-1 record and a 3.51 ERA, but finished second in the voting to the Red Sox reliever Hideki Okajima. San Diego's Chris Young was voted in on the National League roster. The All-Star Game is Tuesday in San Francisco. The Mariners have J.J. Putz and Ichiro in the game.
