Kids Getting Exercise and Raising Money for Charity
Yakima, WA - Starting Friday local kids will be getting some exercise and raising money for a good cause. Over the next month, kids in the valley will be participating in the Tyson Fitness Challenge. Just like people sponsor cancer walks, the kids will get local sponsors to exercise for 30 minutes a day, 3 days a week. The money they raise will go to children's miracle network.
For some participating parents, exercise has proved to be a lifesaver for their kids.
"Jake has been recovering from brain cancer, and surgery," Desiree Guilland, a Miracle Child Mother said, "and fitness for him has increased his everything."
If you want to get involved you can pick up pledge applications for your kids at local McDonalds, Children's Villages, and Memorial Hospital.
