Kennewick Police Uproot Marijuana Patch

Kennewick -- Kennewick police hauled in eighty marijuana plants Monday, after receiving a tip from kids who came across the pot as they played in an area off of Clodfelter Road.

The scenic area accessible from Hildebrand Road features a view of orchards and grassland.  Not far away, a Kennewick Irrigation District drainage canal winds along a gravel road.  Investigators said they believe growers were watering the small patch of plants from that source.

There have been no arrests in the case.
