High Speed Chase Through Kennewick

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- A high speed chase through Kennewick has State Patrol close behind. But the driver wouldn't stop and troopers say she said she had a gun.

Troopers say a woman was travelling as fast as 50 miles per hour east on Clearwater. She then turned north on 395, the whole time on the phone with Washington State Patrol's dispatch saying she had a gun.

Troopers continued to follow her at a safe distance as she got on Highway 240 and headed toward Richland. They say you never know what is going to happen in these types of situations.

Whenever a weapon could be involved, troopers always make sure they are protecting the public while getting the suspect. In this case, the woman was caught in Richland at George Washington Way and Jadwin with just an airsoft gun painted black.

Troopers say the woman was tested for DUI but results for that test aren't back yet.  No charges have been filed against her so far.
