KENNEWICK, Wash. - It's not often in Arena Football that the defense gets recognition, but Shannon Davis has earned some. The Fever defensive back has been named the AF2 defensive player of the week. In Monday night's win over Amarillo, Davis forced a fumble and had two interceptions returning one fifty yards for a touchdown. He leads the team with 7 interceptions and has three over the last two games. The fever defense allowed Amarillo to complete just 16 of 42 pass attempts Monday in the 59-50 win. Davis not only smiling about the award, but he and his wife Monesha also just had their second child on July fourth. The Fever play at Spokane Saturday.
