KENNEWICK, Wash. - Fever Kicker Ryan Cesca has heard the boos lately. He was just 3-7 on extra points in Monday's win, but the Oregon State alum rarely gets to practice! Due to ongoing events at the Toyota Center, the Fever went three weeks without practicing on their own field, being forced to workout at Richland High. That means Cesca has to practice his kicks on regulation goal posts, which are 18 and a half feet wide. AF2 goal posts are just nine feet wide. Cesca won't make excuses.
"The thing is I've done it before and I should have done it (monday," he said. "I just have to come back and make every kick. It's important to get back in the clutch."
"I don't blame him for a lot of stuff," said Coach Tony Wells. "We haven't been in our arena all week. It's tough kicking outdoors and trying to simulate those goalposts. He does need to work on his kickoffs."
Cesca did make his final extra point and got big applause from the fans and from the coach. Cesca is 26-39 on PATs this season. The Fever play at Spokane Saturday.
