People in Yakima Share Concerns With Dino Rossi

YAKIMA, Wash -  Dino Rossi and members of his non-profit group, Forward Washington Foundation, are scouring the state looking for issues important to washingtonians.

Thursday night he hosted a forum in Yakima to hear what's on peoples' minds.   However, someone in the crowd brought up the fact that state democrats claim Rossi is acting like a candidate.   They think Rossi's foundation should be a registered political committee.

Rossi put to rest any discussion about the state's Public Disclosure Commision's investigation.

Ii'm not here to answer questions.  I'm here to find out what these people came to talk about," said Rossi during the forum.

Rossi explained at almost every one of his forums he does in different parts of the state, the democratic party sends a camera person to keep a watchful eye.   A gentleman operating a camcorder was staged in the back of the room.   Some people are fed up with it.

"To follow him around the state with a cameraman and record what goes on in hopes of catching a slip up, that should be an insult to the people of Washington, we shouldn't be going a ha!  I caught you!  We should be going what are the good ideas and how can we make this state better," says Dave Ettl, who attended the forum.

During the forum Rossi talked about state issues people had and plans to present them in Olympia.   His foundation is non-profit and non-partisan.

The next forum near our area will be held in Pasco next Thursday, July 19th.
