Fugitive Caught at House in Finley

FINLEY, Wash. - Police act on a tip, and get a violent fugitive they've been looking for since January.  39 year-old Michael Pourier gave up without a fight Monday afternoon.

The Benton County Regional SWAT Team and sheriff's deputies, along with officers from Kennewick, Richland, and Prosser were there to make the arrest.  Pourier has been on the run since his trial on assault and burglary charges began earlier this year.

Lt. Steve Keane of the Benton County Sheriff's Dept. says, "This is a subject that we've been looking for, for a while.  He has some felony warrants.  He has a history of violence.  And that's why we're using the SWAT team, the possibility that he might be armed."

Pourier was involved in a home invasion robbery in January.  He has already been convicted and sentenced for the crime.  He's now in the Benton County Jail.
