Neighbors Say Empty Building is Causing a Gang Nuisance on their Street
Outlook, WA - An empty building is turning a peaceful street in a small town into a hot bed for gang activity.
A building on 1st Ave in Outlook used to be home to Timmerman's Lumber Company. It's been empty for 20 years, but recently, gang members have moved in.
A neighbor says they have broken into her home three times and they are using the building to strip stolen cars.
"They are in this building just practically every single night. They have their fires, get drunk and they tear up cars... Stolen vehicles that somebody loved," says Katherine Zyph-Hursh who moved into the house next door in early June.
A neighbor across the street from Zyph-Hursh has put her home on the market after living on the street for 65-years.
Tacoma based developer - Harold Le May Enterprises - owns the building. We called them this afternoon, but they have not gotten back to us yet.
