Kennewick Women Celebrates 104th Birthday

KENNEWICK, Wash. - One women experienced a big mile stone today.  It was all part of the grand celebration of Ellen Ratchford's 104th Birthday.

The Party took place at the Life Care Center of Kennewick with dancing, music, balloons and cake.  Ellen celebrated her birthday with friends and a big family.

She says to live a long life you have to want it.  "I didn't want to die," says Ellen Ratchford.

Ellen's family has expanded to over 90 people with more on the way.

When she was born in 1903, the Wright Brothers took flight in the first ever powered air craft, the first Ford Model A was purchased, and it was the same year the teddy bear was introduced.

Happy birthday Ellen from all of us at KNDU.
