YAKIMA, Wash.- Right now there's nearly 45,000 children in our state without health insurance. If you're a family in need, starting July 22nd, new coverage options go in to effect that could help you get insurance for your child.
Here's how the new coverage plan works:
Children in families of four with incomes up to $51,635 will be eligible for coverage
Previously, family incomes could be no higher than $20,650.
The new coverage will apply to all children ages 18 and under
They must live in Washington state and their family must meet the income criteria
You can pick up an application at DSHS in Yakima or at any DSHS location statewide.
