Pasco, Wash. -- A Pasco YMCA gets a lift from a soda pop company. Pepsi gave a $2,500 grant to the Martin Luther King Center in Pasco to get kids active who would not normally exercise.
It's all part of the national "Activate America campaign." YMCA leaders hope it gets kids to participate in free fast-moving games and programs like dodge ball. Officials say the grant money will also allow the Pasco YMCA to teach nutrition and workout classes.
They say about 4,000 kids pass through the Center's doors every year.
