Empty Warehouse will be used by Habitat for Humanity

Yakima, WA -

Plans are in the works to move a big warehouse in Yakima, but it's all for a good cause.

So many people want to know when the burned out remains from the condos on Raquet Lane will be cleaned up, but right next to it sits an empty warehouse.

It's been here for years, but soon it will be moving to a new location.

Several doctors purchased the land, but they don't need the building.

They have donated it to Habitat for Humanity.

The warehouse is being taken apart and moved it to a new location on Mead Avenue and Presson Lane.

Habitat for Humanity recently purchased about four acres there.

It will give them more room for what they call a ReStore Building.  That's a warehouse where they sell used building products to help support their charity -- building houses.

Meanwhile, the property where the warehouse now sits will be developed into an office park for several doctors.
