Yakima Man Gets 21 Years for Murder of a Kennewick Teen
YAKIMA, Wash. - A 19 year old Yakima man received his sentence after pleading guilty to murder. Alejandro Silva will be going to prison for 21 years for the murder of a teenager from Kennewick.
Silva mistook 16 year old Cesar Cuevas for a member of a rival gang and fired on him in June of last year. Silva has now admitted confronting and shooting Cuevas when he saw him playing basketball in McGuiness park.
Silva pleaded guilty in June to one count of first-degree murder and one count of first-degree attempted assault.
