10 of 15 Hydros Qualify for Seafair TodayPosted: Updated:
SEATTLE, Wash - Ten of the fifteen boats at this year's Seafair have qualified for the races tomorrow. The boats that have not yet touched the water are the U-1 Formula Boats.com, U-3 Hoss Mortgage Investors, U-17 Red Dot and the U-100 Mirage Boats. The U-3 driven by Jimmy King continues to have engine troubles while J. Michael Kelly in the U-13 was suffering some computer problems this morning that kept them out of the early session. The driver of the U-1, Jimmy Shane, says his team was installing a new gear box this morning.
The course has been a little rough this morning for a few of the rookie drivers. Dave Bryant said his first experience was a "nightmare" because he had to rely solely on his radio guys because the fog was so thick.
