Benton County, WA - At about 9:26 P.M. on the 6th of August, Benton County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of a dark colored pickup truck that held juveniles in the back that had just struck the victim's mailbox.
Within minutes, a deputy, arriving in the area, contacted a pickup truck matching the description, with 2 juveniles in the back of the bed of the truck.
After investigation, the driver of the vehicle (also a juvenile) was cited for reckless driving, and charges were forwarded to the Benton County Prosecutor's Office for review for Malicious Mischief on all three occupants.
In searching the area, deputies noted that approximately 26 mailboxes showed signs of recent damage.
The Benton County Sheriff's Office asks that residents in the area of Haney, Bryson Brown, and Perkins Road, in Kennewick, who have had their mailbox damaged on the above date, contact the Emergency Dispatch Center at 509 628-0333 to file a report.
