Secretary of State Expects Better than Usual Voter Turnout for Upcoming Primary

Olympia, WA -    Secretary of State Sam Reed expects voter turnout for the upcoming primary to be better than usual because of voting by mail.

The percentage is predicted to be around 34% for the first ever August primary.  Typically, voter turnout is lower for odd-year primaries.

36 out of 39 counties in the state conduct all mail-in elections.

Kittitas County is one of the three that don't.
