TRI-CITIES, Wash. - There have been a number of reports across the country of people using cell phones to take pictures of victims credit cards or debt cards as they wait in line to make a purchase at the store.
Police in the Tri-Cities said they have not seen it locally but warn people that they need to be extra careful any time they have their personal information exposed.
Many people do not think twice when they have the card out in the open waiting to make a purchase but you might want to make sure no one is standing behind you taking a picture or video of your credit card numbers.
Police warn shoppers not to carry all their credit cards with them and say to only take the ones you need when you head to the store.
They also say it is a good idea to change the pin number to your debt card every few months.
