Pasco --  Kids in the Tri-Cities who aren't well equipped for school got some help Wednesday from Fluor.  This marks the seventh year of the Fluor Global "Building Futures, Backpack Basics" project.

In seven years, more than 30 thousand backpacks have been distributed by the firm.  Fluor volunteers were at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton and Franklin Counties main branch in Pasco to hand out the backpacks.  The location is close to two elementary schools where the majority of children attending qualify for free or reduced price lunches.
