PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - The Pullman City Council last night passed an ordinance outlawing open containers in public.
First time offenders can be looking at $250 fine, 2nd timers up to $500.
Officials hope limiting open containers will help decrease the amount of violence found in places such as College Hill and cut down on the party atmosphere associated with the neighborhood adjacent to the Washington State University campus.
Tailgaters during football games will still be allowed to drink alcohol around their vehicle legally, you just can't bring it into Martin Stadium.
