Benton Franklin Fair Booth Burns Down

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- A Benton Franklin Fair booth burns down, closing part of the fairgrounds. Firefighters say it started at a booth demonstrating fireplaces.

People around the fair say they saw a huge cloud of smoke and flames coming from the demonstration booth, which was right next to the sheep barn. Firefighters were especially worried about some propane tanks nearby.

The booth was taken away and firefighters are investigating to figure out what caused the fire. The sheep shed was evacuated for over an hour while Barn Superintendant Sheryle Martin calmed down the 153 sheep inside it. But, there were no serious injuries in the fire.
