TRI-CITIES, Wash.--The Toyota name is enhancing entertainment value for the Tri-Cities. Four leading members of our community have been featured in the September 3rd edition of TIME magazine, hitting newsstands Friday(August 31st).
On page 10 of the magazine, you'll find Toyota of Tri-Cities General Manager, Dwight Marquart along with Kennewick Mayor, Jim Beaver. In 2005, Toyota of Tri-Cities formed a 10-year, two-million dollar naming rights partnership with the city. Having a recognized brand like Toyota on local venues like the Toyota Center, Arena, even the dealership, greatly helps the economy.
"When we're talking to people about events in the facility, it's no longer identified with just an arena or a coliseum," says Executive Director of Toyota Center, Jess Kossow. It has a branding concept , so that value translates into us being able to do more things than we could before.
By having a stronger events calendar, there's a greater chance of increasing tourism to our community.
