Domestic Violence Services of Benton & Franklin Counties is offering its volunteer advocacy training.  DVS is currently accepting early registration for this rewarding training. The training will be at St. Pauls Episcopal Church located at 1609 W. 10th in Kennewick. Training takes place September 8-20 Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 6-9 p.m and Saturday from 9am-4pm.

For those interested in volunteering, please contact Laura Suing at 582-9440, ext. 116 for early registration.

The 24-hour advocacy training allows volunteers to work in the shelter and provide other services at DVS. The training covers topics including advocacy-based counseling, working with children, answering crisis calls, legal advocacy, and a general understanding of domestic violence issues. Volunteers are a critical component in the success of our agency and making our community safer for all our families.
