BAGHDAD (AP) - Three more Americans are dead in Iraq.
The U.S. military, in a statement today, says the soldiers were killed yesterday by 1 of those powerful EFPs, explosively formed penetrators, in an attack in east Baghdad. Two other soldiers were wounded.
Today's statement does not give details of the attack but a U.S. Humvee was seen burning yesterday at an intersection in that area.
An unofficial count by The Associated Press shows at least 3,744 members of the U.S. military have died in Iraq since the war began.
