SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - A man has turned himself in to face charges in the death of a friend after a wedding party in Spokane Valley.

John Clark, a lawyer for 25-year-od Brandon Peterson, says Peterson was arrested when he went to Spokane County sheriff's deputies yesterday. Peterson is charged with vehicular homicide and hit & run driving in the death of Daniel Taylor on August 25th.

Investigators say the two had been drinking after a wedding when Taylor jumped into the back of Peterson's truck and started jumping up and down. At that point, authorities say Peterson and his girlfriend pulled away in the truck and Taylor fell and hit his head on the pavement. He died the next day of a brain injury.

Clark says Peterson is devastated by the death because the two men were friends.
