Topics Discussed at Our First Ever "We're Listening" Community Meeting

On September 17th, KNDU held our first ever "We're Listening" event at Mid Columbia Library. We had a strong turnout and would like to thank everyone who attended to voice their opinions. Many important issues and community concerns were brought up at the meeting including:

  • Healthcare (mental health, human services, and the cost of healthcare)
  • Education
  • Columbia Park Development
  • Water Rights
  • Drug and Alcohol Abuse
  • Poverty (homeless issues, and cost of living)

Also discussed was addressing the Juniper Dunes problem, and the difficulty of those over the age of 50 finding a good job. Social security was mentioned along with taxes, immigration, KGH, city government, community pride  and  growth management.

  • We're Listening Comments

We want to know what are the issues that people are really concerned about with their community.  Is it the education, schools, and the WASL?  Is it the safety of your neighborhood?

We're asking you to tell us what local issues you are concerned about and why.  If you are unable to attend one of our public meetings or if you missed one, feel free to write in and tell us!
