Yakima's First "We're Listening" Community Meeting

YAKIMA, Wash. - Community residents met with anchors Christine Brown and Scott Stovall October 8th at the Yakima Valley Regional Library for KNDO's first "We're Listening" Yakima meeting.

KNDO started We're Listening to hear about what topics are important to you and to learn about the issues our viewers face in the community.

  • Some of the issues that were brought up were:
  • City Government
  • Education (cost and availability)
  • Job Opportunities and Poverty
  • Affordable Housing
  • Gangs and Violence
  • Alcohol and Substance Abuse
  • Traffic in the Valley
  • Healthcare
  • Immigration
  • We're Listening Comments

We want to know what are the issues that people are really concerned about with their community.  Is it the education, schools, and the WASL?  Is it the safety of your neighborhood?

We're asking you to tell us what local issues you are concerned about and why.  If you are unable to attend one of our public meetings or if you missed one, feel free to write in and tell us!
