YAKIMA, Wash - A suspect being held at the Yakima County Justice Center escaped Saturday afternoon and is still missing.
According to police, just after 2pm, Darrell Church jumped the fence at the jail, and ran North from the facility.
Jail personnel gave chase but Church jumped into a car and left downtown.
The escape vehicle was later located in the Wal-Mart parking lot. The driver told police, Church jumped in his car, and told him to drive because the men chasing him believed he (Church) had broken into their vehicle.
Once clear of the jail, the driver dropped Church off at Sarg Hubbard Park. Police checked the area, but were unable to locate him.
Darrell Church is a 5'10 white male, 185 pounds, with a shaved head and several tattoos.
