Ellensburg Pass, WA - More than 450 acres have burned near the Ellensburg Pass.
The fire started just off Observatory Road at about ten yesterday morning.
240 firefighters from the Department of Natural Resources have been working to secure the perimeter around the fire.
DNR helicopters spent the day dropping 300 gallon buckets of water on remaining hot spots.
Firefighters hoped to have it contained by tomorrow night.
Investigators believe the fire to be human caused, but hope to know exactly how it started now that the smoke has cleared in the area.
There is concern that the wind could pick up tonight and cause the fire to pick up again.
