Lawyer For Accused Rapist Withdraws From Case

PASCO, Wash. - The Franklin County inmate accused of raping a former cellmate now no longer has a lawyer.

Until Wednesday, Chris Swaby represented accused rapist David Webster.

But Webster recently made statements that Swaby was passing him drugs. Webster denies the claims. He said he was forced to make the statements. And said the allegations are part of a conspiracy by the Franklin County Prosecutor to get Swaby off the case.

"When I showed all these things, these things scared them. They scared them into trying to attack him because he's the one man in this whole county, man enough, who believes in me enough, to stand up and attack not Steve Lowe, but attack injustice," said accused rapist David Webster.

Wednesday, Swaby requested to withdraw himself from the case. When KNDU talked to Swaby he said he didn't wish to comment.
