FREE Coats for 400+ Families in Need

September 15th, 2007  6:30 p.m.

RICHLAND, Wash.--Over 400 families received brand new coats today. An anonymous donor gave $8,000 dollars worth of new winter coats to Catholic Family and Child Services.

Late this morning, parents and children took over Westgate Square in search of their new jackets.

One local woman expressed her gratitude.

"It's just a blessing," says Delia Ruiz. I just thank god that there are people out there that are willing to donate so much for other people that don't have."

If you were unable to pick out a coat today, there are more chances. After October 1st, St. Vincent Center in kennewick and St. Vincent Depaul store and Salvation Army in Pasco will have coats available every Tuesday and Thursday.
