KENNEWICK, Wash. - People across the Tri-Cities are suffering from drug addictions which can led to violence, crime and all sorts of problems that affect our community but there are places that can help.
The Oxford House is a place that helps recovery addicts transition there way back into society. All of the people that live in the homes have battled with some type of addiction. This Saturday they are having an open house for anyone interested in their program.
There are two open houses from 2pm-6pm Saturday September 22nd in the Tri-Cities.
The Heavens Parks Home for Women, located at 506 South Volland Street is hosting an event and the Atomic City House for Men located at 3613 West Ninth Street is also having an open house.
Oxford House Member Shelly Landry said, "It's your choice if you want to quit doing drugs and if you need a place to go the Oxford House is the place. It's a place where you can be safe and you have people there to help you get through your recovery so that you can be a whole person again."
There are 13 Oxford Homes in the Tri-Cities and more than 1,200 across the country.
