Yakima County Sheriff's Office Ask For Help In Identifying Murder Victim

YAKIMA, Wash. -- The Yakima County Sheriff's Office is investigating the murder of a woman whose body was found Tuesday morning in an orchard in Moxee.

The body had been badly burned making the identification difficult but an autopsy yesterday revealed that the victim was a female, between 19 to 29 years old, approximately 5' 7" tall and 120 pounds. Her hair appeared to be naturally brown with dyed reddish-brown/auburn hair.

She had a navel piercing and a ring on a finger of her right hand.  The ring was silver in color and has been likely darkened due to the heat of the fire.

If you recognize these pieces of jewerly or have any information on the identity of this victim please contact the Sheriff's Office Detective Bureau at (509) 574-2500.
