YAKIMA, Wash. -The arena football team Yakima was expecting won't arrive until 2009 at the earliest. Spokane Shock owner Brady Nelson has been helping broker the deal with an unidentified investor in the area. Nelson told the Yakima Herald that the investor did not meet the AF2 league deadline to come up with the$500,000 franchise fee. Nelson had previously said he expected the deal to be done in time for the 2008 season. Yakima's team would be in the same AF2 division as the Tri-Cities Fever and the Spokane Shock. The Fever moved from the NIFL to the AF2 prior to the 2007 season.
