Alleged Murderer on the Loose After Shooting in Yakima
YAKIMA, Wash - An alleged murderer is on the loose and police need your help to find him. What started off as a shooting late Saturday night in Yakima turned to a murder early Sunday morning when the victim passed away at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
According to neighbors, 20-year-old Mario Amaro of Yakima was shot in the head. It happened in the 600 block of North 20th Avenue at 11:30 Saturday night.
The victim's friend who lives next door says Amaro was not involved in gangs and doesn't know why anyone would do this. He says neighbors were trying to give Amaro CPR before help arrived.
Investigators are looking for two suspects who were seen driving away in a black 1997 Chevy Blazer, with license plate number 523-VPO.
Both suspects are hispanic men in their 20's. One of them is bald with facial hair.
