COLFAX, Wash. (AP) - Prosecutors and defense lawyers both want to move the vehicular homicide trial of Frederick Russell from Whitman County.
A judge is hearing a change of venue motion today in Colfax.
Prosecutors want to move the trial to the Tri-Cities. Defense lawyers want to move it to Western Washington.
Russell is blamed for a drunken driving crash in 2001 that killed three WSU students and injured four other people on the Pullman-Moscow Highway.
The 27-year-old fled the country for four years and was caught two years ago in Dublin, Ireland.
